Talk Homework: Discuss what benefits and uses humans can get from trees and other plants.

In English we have been continuing to look at our book Mama Miti. We have been looking at the different pictures and seeing what advice Wangari gives to different poor people.

In Maths we have been looking at dividing. We have needed to exchange tens into ten ones or hundreds into ten tens when we had too many or too few to divide nicely into the right number of groups.

In Scientific Global Learning we have been looking at different species that live in the rainforest. We put them into groups such as: mammals, birds, fish, amphibians and reptiles for vertebrates; molluscs, arachnids, insects and others for invertebrates; as well as different plant groups and fungi groups. Can you guess what group a false bird of paradise belongs in? What about dolphins? What about flying fish?
