Talk Homework: Find out about African Drums and how they are played. Can you remember their names?

This week Cherry class have really enjoyed learning about mining, both in history and today. The class were surprised at the dangers of mining and the lack of protective equipment used previously. We also learned about the different types of African Drums and how they are played. We spent some time practising rhythm and learning to stay in time with each other and a metronome.

As part of Remembrance Day, Elysia shared a book about some Australians who helped in the war, and explained to the class that two of her ancestors are written about in the book. The rest of the class were fascinated by this and we really appreciated learning that people from all over the world helped in the war. We spent some time reflecting on this and it was really thought provoking.
