We used the microscopes to look at how different solids appear (coffee and sugar). We then added water to both of them and observed how they had changed. 

This afternoon we carried out an investigation into chromatography. We wanted to find out what black ink was composed of which then led to a great discussion about what other colour inks are made up from.
