Talking Homework:

*Talk to your children about how you celebrate special holidays in your family and which holidays are special. What are your favourite memories of the holiday? What are traditional foods you eat? Do you have special decorations?

*Encourage your children to write some CVC words, for example, cat, dog, get, net, mat, run, pop.

This week has been all about recognising awareness days. We have first learnt about Anti-bullying week. We learnt a song, 'One Kind Word' by Andy and the Odd Socks. The children took time in their day to try and say kind words to one another and recognise the effect that has on the person you say it to and yourself too. We then learnt about Road Safety week with the children learning how to behave safely around a road and when in the car or riding a bike. We then made road networks including a drive-through McDonald's in our outdoor area. We also created a table top road network with road signs.

In PE we have learnt how to balance and next week we are transferring our movements onto the benches.

In maths we have learnt parts and whole of a number eg. 5 can be 1 and 1 and 1 and 3 or 2 and 2 and 1. In phonics we learnt u- Aliens Wear Underpants and have used lots of resources to build 3 letter words.

Today was so much fun for Children in Need day. We got to dress up and even saw Mrs Heather riding a camel in assembly!!!! Thanks so much for the donations, we discussed how it may help the children.

Also, we have begun learning our songs for the nativity.
