In the eyes of God, every child matters, every moment of every day

Friday 22nd November

Please complete the 4 tasks set for you on SATs Companion - remember to also have a go at some of the practice tasks in areas where you feel you would benefit.  Make sure you read every day at home for a minimum of 20 minutes, with 1 session a week reading aloud to an adult.  Our spellings this week are:  communicate, definite, exaggerate, appreciate, harass, marvellous, persuade, relevant, stomach, vehicle.  Make sure you know how to spell these, and are ready for our quiz on Monday.

Harrison: In PE this week we played mini-matches of football. We talked about the importance of passing the ball amongst our team and moving into spaces in order to drive the ball forwards.

Dylan:  This week I enjoyed writing poems in English.  We had to write in role, and we looked at other examples of poems where the poet had used different writing techniques to convey emotions for the reader.

Lucas:  In History we have been looking at how women's lives changed during World War One.  We investigated the suffragist and suffragette movement, looked at the different job opportunities women had during wartime and also the role that female footballers had in changing opportunities for women.
