In maths this week we have been learning about data and different ways to represent information. We have enjoyed collecting data about our favourite things and representing these as a tally chart, block diagrams and pictograms. In English we have started our new book Egg Box Dragon and have written some excellent descriptive pieces about his first adventure. In reading we have read a range of books and have been making links between these, including characters, settings, events and feelings in these. In PE, we have been practising our sports day skills including relay, sack-racing and javelin. In RE, we have been learning about Judaism- we know the Torah is the Jewish holy book (scroll) which is written in Hebrew and two of their key symbols are the menorah and the Star of David. In DT, we LOVED taste-testing biscuits as part of our research in preparation for our own biscuit-making'.

Isla-Rose- 'I enjoyed maths when we were learning about pictograms'

Leah- 'I have enjoyed maths when we made a class block diagram with post-it notes'

Fin- 'I have enjoyed English with the Egg Box Dragon'

Matilda S- 'I enjoyed PE when we did javelin, sack-racing and relay'

Joseph- 'I enjoyed eating cheddar, gingernut and shortbread biscuits in DT- my favourite is shortbread because it was sweet!'

Happy Friday!
