Talk homework

Talk to your adults about Beegu. What do you know about her? What happens to her in the story? How does she feel? Can you think of any words to describe her? Next week we will be writing in role so the more you can remember, the better!

In DT next week we will be making our tables to support our Global Learning topic ‘Quality Education’. Please send your children in with any cereal boxes by Wednesday at the latest so that we can use them for our project. Thank you!

Thank you to everyone who has been logging their reading on our new Boom Reader app! Please ensure that you log every time you read with your child.

Please make sure that you send your child into school with their reading folder every day as We will be reading with your children in school at least once a week.

There will be no spellings over the half term holiday. We will also be sending your child home with the first 100 High Frequency words. The children are really super at reading them, we will now be learning how to spell them.

This week we have been looking back at our learning over the past half term in our Science, Maths and Global learning lessons. The children have remembered so much about our topics and have worked really hard to show us what they have learned in lots of different ways. We have also had a real focus on our classroom rules and expectations, the transition from Reception to Year 1 is a big one and the children have been working hard to show us that they know and can follow our classroom rules.

The children continued to practise travelling, rolling and jumping in different ways in our PE sessions, next week we will be performing to the rest of Year 1 how we can keep control of our bodies in lots of ways. We are really looking forward to it!

We are looking forward to seeing you at parents’ evening on Tuesday and Wednesday evenings next week.
