Talk Homework-

What is a healthy snack? How do you know? What does the packaging tell you about what is in the snack? How do I stay hydrated?

Reading at least 3 times a week and record on Boom reader. PE on Thursdays. We are doing outdoor PE so all children need to have trainers.

In maths this week we looked at the composition of shapes using other shapes:

"We made other shapes using shapes." - Reuben

"I was making a big rectangle. I was using squares." - Wyatt

"We made a square with Numicon." - Lara

"Me, Chloe, Reuben and Quintyn all built a massive ninja course." - Heidi

"We were making shapes [with a tangram]." - Christian

In phonics we learned the sound 'air' and read the story Ben Sees a Chick. We used the book The Yellow Balloon to introduce our topic. We looked at a picture from the book to see what we could find: "We were looking for stuff [in the city picture]." - Roxie. As part of our topic, we watched Benjamin Zephaniah recite his poem Differences and we read poems from his book We Are Britain! We practised sports day activities during PE and in RE we learned about the Christian creation story.
