Half term Homework:
* Please help your child to practise writing their name. A handwriting sheet with their name in the school handwriting style was sent home with their reading folders.
* Please help your child learn to dress and undress themselves, including doing buttons and zipping up their coats.
*Continue to read a minimum of three times per week and please write in the Reading Record when you have done this.
Talk Homework:
- Talk with your child about their local area, including features, significant buildings, street names, etc.
--Continue to read a minimum of three times a week and completing the reading log.
Talk Homework- Talk about teeth.
Tier 1 vocabulary- tooth, gum, brushing, toothpaste
Tier 2 vocabulary- bacteria, fillings, hygiene
Tier 3 vocabulary- cavity, molars, incisors, canine, decay.
Read with your child at least three times per week and remember to write you comments in the reading log.
Talk Homework- while eating a meal have a look at small items on the plate like peas, corn, pasta, cereal and ask your child to try and subitise/ group the random array. For more information on the meaning of subitising this website is really useful. https://www.learningtrajectories.org/
Reading- 3 times a week minimum please.
