Enjoy your half-term break! There is no spelling or grammar homework, but we do ask that you complete 30 minutes of DoodleMath and you learn your performance lines.
Year 5 has a great last week of term. We baked artisan bread (it was lovely to hear so many of you tried to repeat the process at home). We then had RE day focused on our school value "With God nothing is impossible" and we explored how this could help us reduce world hunger, our Sustainable Development Goal for this half-term.
When then had three days of science, in which they learnt about the properties of fabrics and microfibres, and planned an investigation into which biscuit is the best dunker!
Next term, we'll have our year group's performance, our school trip, sports day and much more. For DT/Art we'll be sewing a tote bag and using Batik. For this, all pupils will need (ideally a plain) old t-shirt. We are learning about sustainable clothing, so please do not purchase anything new. Ideally, it won't have large logos or motifs on it as the pupils will be adding their own designs, but if it's all they have, we can make it work. Pupils won't need this until week 5 of the term.
Enjoy your half term and see you Monday.
