This week we drew a Grant Wood tree and painted it light to dark in different shades of green. This was to practice shading in colour and using the medium of paint. We are taking these skills into our final piece of art this term which will be a landscape painting in the style of Grant Wood. Making our own colours in art was challenging and required us to be more determined than usual.

Yesterday, was an awesome day because it was the Year 6 Enterprise afternoon. The year 6 children made stalls including games, magic tricks, score against the goalie, a raffle, races, push-ups, Flip an Ace and a Slime Laboratory. Everyone had a great time and raised lots of money for a charity called Reach which is a charity that is valued in school.

In English, we are writing our stories inspired by The Tin Forest. We have started to set the scene, introduce a character and start to build up to a dilemma. The children's imaginative ideas have been incredible.
