A huge thank you to St Neots Man Cave for the beautiful fix they have done on one of our old and worn tricycles, which is now as good as new ready and for new Reception children to try

What an end to the term! Year 6 performances to their families of The Wizard of Oz, Leavers assembly and Buckden's Got Talent to name a few Our last day is Tuesday 16th July when all students finish for the summer at 3:15pm.

It's transition week here at Buckden with children trying out their classes for next year. There have been a lot of interesting activities and excited faces around school so far. We will be sad to see our year 6's leave in a couple of weeks, but are excited for them going on to Secondary and we are looking forward to welcoming our new Reception children full time in September!

We are excited to have parents join us and support the children for friendly races during Sports Day on Wednesday 26th June! Information has been sent out regarding the arrangements so please check your emails and read the letter thoroughly. We are looking forward to seeing you all!

Next week is Science Week! In school, we will be researching scientists in more detail to appreciate the vast array of S.T.E.M. careers that exist. Children are welcome to dress as a scientist and bring in £1 to help fund science resources What to do: 1. With your child, select a scientist from this website https://pstt.org.uk/unique-resources/a-scientist-just-like-me/ 2. Help your child to write their chosen S.T.E.M. career down on a piece of paper if they are too young to do so, to bring into school with them on Thursday. 3. Help your child to dress like the S.T.E.M. scientist (maybe bring an accessory) 4. A donation of a £1 to help fund science resources in school would be appreciated. Please don't panic about a costume because the whole point of this is to help the children understand that the majority of scientists don't wear lab coats. Many scientists wear regular clothes (skirts, jeans, shirts, T Shirts etc.).
