In the eyes of God, every child matters, every moment of every day

Friday 27th January

1.) Remember to read for 20 minutes each day and record your reading on Boom Reader.

2.) There are 4 tasks set for you on SATs Companion - please complete these by next Wednesday.

3.) Revise this week's spelling words ready for a quiz on Monday: nuisance, hindrance, sacrifice, certificate, celebrate, necessary, prejudice, cemetery, deceased, December.

Susie:  I really enjoyed Gymnastics this week.  We learnt a new conditioning phrase which involved more challenging balances which we got to perform on the mats and also the apparatus.

Elysia:  In Maths, we have begun a new topic - Algebra.  We have looked at equations and had to work out what values letters represent.

Stan:  In Computing this week we continued to explore coding.  We used a programme called Free Code Chimp and were able to design our own scenes and used codes to animate our objects.  We also explored using timers and loops.

Harrison:  In Geography this week we completed a water survey where we had to record every time we used water.  We compared this to water use in a developing country and thought about ways we could reduce our water usage.
