In the eyes of God, every child matters, every moment of every day

In the eyes of God, every child matters, every moment of every day

Friday 21st April 2023

Talk homework: Use an analogue clock to practise telling the time. Think about how you might pack your own  snacks to bring to school to avoid using plastic.

Spellings: quarter, half, o'clock, past, to

Science: Use Twig Science Reporter to watch a video about seeds, trees, plants or something about biodiversity.

Hayden and River have loved writing a non-fiction fact file all about giraffes. We all know a lot about giraffes. Owen has enjoyed watching Twig Reporter this afternoon when we learnt that plants can grow on moon soil. Ayda can now tell the time to a quarter past and a quarter to- well done Ayda. In history this term we are thinking about poverty in the Victorian Era. We have earned about The Workhouses and how poor people worked in them to earn their food and bed. The Workhouses sounded awful. Cohen enjoyed whole class reading today when we earned facts about Komodo Dragons. His favourite fact is... they are reptiles which means they hatch from eggs, have dry scaly skin and are cold-blooded. Darcey enjoyed science when we used our pattern seeking skills to answer the question Do big seeds grow into big plants?

Have a good weekend
