Last week of Spring 2 term

Have a wonderful Easter break!

We've had a lovely week in Acorn class. We've been sawing and glueing our sustainable buildings and we've a lot to be proud of. We finished our persuasive writing, focusing on relative clauses and parenthesis, then finished our book The Promise. We still need some practice to embed it into our writing fluently, but we're making progress.

We've now finished fractions, but still need to practice. Next term, we'll be beginning decimals and percentages in Maths.

I've set homework on SATS Companion, which I'd like pupils to do over Easter break please to keep up their Maths fluency. They can choose two pieces, but there will be rewards for those who do them all.

Please practise spellings also.

Please ensure pupils return to school with the correct stationary, including glue stick, pencil, ruler, handwriting pen (if applicable). A lot of acorn class are without their needed stationary.

Have a wonderful break,

Mrs Schmidt
