In the eyes of God, every child matters, every moment of every day

Week beg 20th March

Please talk to your adult about your design for a sustainable building and bring in all your DT resources for Monday

It's been a fun week with fractions, persuasive writing and sawing in DT. Ida enjoyed RE where we wrote our fact files about a Christian martyr and many thoroughly enjoyed watching the Year 1/3 play on Friday afternoon. Bella gave it raving reviews.

We've been busy sawing and joining wood in DT to build our architectural designs and on Monday we'll be finishing off our projects – please all remember to bring in your materials for Monday if you haven't already. Your team is counting on you.

In fractions, many of Acorn are enjoying the light relief of multiplying fractions after subtracting posed a challenge. They've all done brilliantly! Next term, we'll be starting decimals and percentages.

In PSHE this week, many of the pupils actively shared their negative experiences of using WhatsApp and online gaming as we discussed cyberbullying. They were surprised to hear that WhatsApp has a legal age limit of 16 and the effect excluding friends from online games has on the recipient's wellbeing.

Betsy, Freya, Olly and Jack have all enjoyed writing persuasively linking to our new book The Promise. Next week we'll be focused on editing our writing. Iris, Max and Tom enjoyed cross-country in PE - running times have been impressive!

Reports will be sent home on Wednesday and, if you have any questions about them, please get in touch before the end of term.
