Talk Homework: We will be building a model Buckden Village on Friday next week. Please could you provide any boxes and containers for junk modelling. No egg boxes though thanks. Please talk with your child about the buildings, shops and facilities in Buckden.
Reading online book Sam and Ted and home readers at least 3 times per week.
The week has been filled with learning about or homes. We painted pictures of our houses and made house name plaques from clay. In phonics, we have been revising the sounds taught to date and we completed an assessment which will be shared with you at parents evening next week. Next week we will be learning h b f ff and reading 'the' and 'I'.
In maths, we have been subitising amounts within 5- this means looking at a quantity of items and seeing how many without having to count. The children are becoming great at saying I can see ? many and I see it like ... Finn described this as "looking at numbers and then not looking at them anymore and then guess what they are."
