Has anyone got the Willow Class reading bag at home? It was a canvas bag with a Disney character on the front. If you have it, please return it as soon as possible.

All the children will bring home a phonics pack. Please practice daily, feel free to cut them up and stick them around the house.

Talk homework

Name the seas around the United Kingdom.

Abacus - The children can access this resource via the website and complete one game as their Mathematics homework. https://www.activelearnprimary.co.uk

The children have their own log in details, these can be found in their reading diaries. The school code is kmm7 in the bottom box.

Reading

Please see the letter regarding reading expectations in the front of your child’s reading diary. Please ensure your child has their reading folder in school everyday. The children will bring home a weekly reading for pleasure book, as well as their reading book. This is to share together and promote a love for reading.

In English, we have had a very exciting week! We found TREASURE!!!! We helped Anna and Crocodile plan how to find gold and have written our own instructions.

During our Global learning topic, we had named all the seas around the United Kingdom.

Within Science, we identified and labelled parts of the human body.

In Mathematics, we are adding on by ones. We have used numberlines and ten frames to help us.

I liked maths when we used the number lines to add numbers together (Edie and Hayden).

I liked finding the treasure in English (George, Ava T and Ayda).

I enjoyed maths when we looked at number sentences (Isla-rose).

I liked learning our new sounds in phonics (Cohen and Joseph).
