Talk Homework- Discuss money. What is it for? How do you get it? Tip out a money box or purse and identify the coins. Maybe visit the shop and look at prices. What is cheaper, which is more expensive? Vocabulary- spend, save, bank, expense, cost.

Talk Homework: We will be reading 'The Very Hungry Caterpillar'. Within this it mentions the days of the week. Talk about the sequence of the days of the week, what happens on different days in your household and even maybe try learning the day names in French!

-Practise counting with your children, emphasising one-to-one correspondence when counting objects. All children should be able to count to 10 and many children will be able to count to 20.
- We will be growing many plants from seed next week. If you have any seeds you'd like to donate for us to plant, we would appreciate it. You can also plant seeds at home and talk about all the different plants that grow from seeds.

Next week, the last week of our superhero topic, we'll be sharing a book about David Attenborough. Share your feelings with your child about looking after the environment and discuss what things you do as a family to look after our planet. Watch a bit of a David Attenborough documentary with your child and listen to their thoughts about the natural world. Do they think David Attenbourough is a hero?

Talk Homework- Next week we will be sharing non-fiction books around the topic of 'People Who Help Us'. Read with your child a non-fiction book and discuss the features of it. If you are happy to, this book can be bought into school.

Talk Homework- Next week we will be learning about the power of magnets. Please talk with your child about items that are magnetic and use the vocabulary of attract and repel. If you have any magnetic toys or games you may like to bring in and share that would be great.
