The children have had a great week. They have learnt about the four shading techniques, hatching, cross-hatching, scribbling and scribbling. They started to plan their Greek amphora designs, in which they will use their new skills.
We are reading The Iron Man by Ted Hughes. The children love the text so far and have made their predictions for the story. They have learnt about adjectives and used them in quality sentences. Today, they went outside and used chalk to mark make, showing the size of The Iron Man and thinking about scale and dimension. Back in the classroom, the children wrote about the size and shape of the man's body.

Here are our current homework expectations: Doodle Maths 10 mins per day or Doodle Tables, alternate between the two. 7 spellings based on a spelling rule each week. Reading, 5 days a week 20 mins – with comprehension questions/book is discussed with an adult.
