    Please ensure that you are logging all reading with your child on Boomreader, if there are any words or sounds they struggle with add these so we can help them within their learning.

    Please ensure that your child does their Doodlemaths, an assignment will be added every Friday for them to complete, we are able to analyse any gaps they have and address this within our learning. 

    Homework expectations are 30 minutes of Doodlemaths a week minimum and logging reading on Boomreader 3 times a week minimum.

    We have some spellings to support their phonics learning, we are currently looking at the 'u-e' sound. Please practice these over the weekend for an informal test next week.

    The house was next to school. 

    We have been consolidating our phase 5 phonics and looking at reading our red words. This week we have been busy getting on with our PIXL assessments which help us to see gaps in their understanding and create additional support to close the gaps. The children have worked so hard and we are very proud.

    Within science we looked at what makes a bird a bird. They thoroughly enjoyed looking at what makes animals fit into the classifications that they are in. Within our geography we have looked and explored the problems in the Arctic and the contributors to those problems - the children did some drawings of a healthy and an unhealthy Arctic which they found a powerful lesson to learn.
