Please ensure that you are logging all reading with your child on Boomreader, if there are any words or sounds they struggle with add these so we can help them within their learning.

Please ensure that your child does their Doodlemaths, an assignment will be added every Friday for them to complete, we are able to analyse any gaps they have and address this within our learning. 

We have some spellings to support their phonics learning, this week we have been consolidating the ay, ou, ie, ea and oy sounds. Please practice these over the weekend for an informal test next week.

The children have worked really hard this week throughout all of their learning. They have particularly enjoyed their DT where they made their tables out of cardboard where everyone showed great determination and problem solving skills.

In maths we have been looking at representing numbers with objects, using a number line and beginning to recognise numbers as words.

In English the children have been showing off their fantastic writing skills by writing some descriptive sentences about some pictures. It has been lovely to see their creativity shine and how much progress they have already made in their writing.

In Art we have been exploring texture and the children have produced some amazing drawings of bricks.

Within their indoor PE the children have been looking at gymnastics and balance. They have focused on movement and how to ensure they are balanced. We looked at 3 different types of jumps and 2 rolls on the mats which they have worked very hard in executing.
