This week within our learning we have moved onto counting up to 20. The children have been great at spotting patterns, finding the missing number. We have found some misconceptions which the children love picking out 'my mistakes' where i need the number eighteen and wrote 81 instead. 

The children produced some brilliant sentences about Beegu this week and she is feeling, they are very excited to move onto our next part of the book and see what happens next.

Within our phonics we have been learning the 'ie' sound 'Tie your tie'. They have worked very hard this week within their phonics and shared reading sessions, we are very proud of them.

Our geography was a hit this week! The children loved making their very own compasses and having discussions about why compasses are used. Many children spoke about their compasses they have at home which they use and play with. Our history looked at the difference between wealthy and poor within the Victorian times, we have a very exciting lesson coming up next week looking at some artefacts.

Thank you for all of those who have offered to help us walk to church, we really appreciate your time. There will be plenty more opportunities to help volunteer throughout the year, keep your eyes peeled.
