Complete the assigned task on Doodle maths. Children are asked to spend 30 minutes a week on Doodle Maths.

Read the Partner Practise book printouts that have been sent home with your child. This is to revise the digraphs we learnt last week: ng, th and sh. A copy of last week's reading assessment has been sent home with your child.

This week in English we re-read A Home for Grace and wrote sentences about what we need to keep warm. In maths, we've been looking at the composition of numbers to 6, 7 and 8 using the sentence starters "six is 5 and 1 more", "seven is 5 and 2 more" and "eight is 5 and 3 more", using a 10s frame to model this. We've been forensic scientists outside, using shoes to determine who has made tracks with the mud and trying to match the footprints with the correct shoe. We've had a lovely time making our spoon puppets. We used our designs of the fairy tale characters to guide us on our choice of materials and how we wanted the puppet to look. In RE, we are learning about how Christians ask for help and learning about prayer. In music, we used the instruments to compose our own verse to the song Shake My Wiggles Out. We've really enjoyed listening to each other's three-minute talks and practising asking questions. In PSHE, we've been learning about setting goals and cheering each other on to succeed.

    Have a wonderful weekend!
