This week, your child will have brought home their Mock SATs papers from our recent testing week. Please take some time to talk to your child and look at their papers. We are addressing areas of learning which require more practice in class, but remember that they can revise topics that are specific to them by accessing SATs Companion - where videos, questions and their answers are always available. Generally, we have been really pleased with the progress that the children have made since the start of the academic year, and have been impressed with many of them showing responsibility and resilience to improve their test scores so that they reflect their true abilities.
Georgie: On Wednesday, we watched Mrs Walker dissect an Ox's heart. It was fascinating to see all the different parts of a real heart, and at the end we were allowed to put on gloves and touch it. I learnt lots.
Hetty: This week I have enjoyed writing a biography about Rosa Parks. We have learnt about her role in the civil rights movement, including decisions she made during her lifetime, as well as the impact this has had since her death.
Seb: On Thursday, on spirituality day, I enjoyed playing the role of a detective and finding out who was responsible for Jesus's death. We got to take part in drama and role play to see how Jesus was treated by others.
Natalie: I enjoyed PE this week when we played a match and learnt about the roles of the different players and their job in the game.
