    • Please complete the four tasks set for you on SATs Companion.
    • Remember to read for a minimum of 20 minutes a day with 3 of these sessions reading aloud to an adult.
    • Make sure you know your spellings from this week and are ready for our quiz on Monday.  The words this week are:  phone, graph, dolphin, pheasant, alphabet, photo, elephant, sphere, pamphlet, physical.
    • Log into Doodle Maths for 10 minutes a day in order to keep your arithmetic skills sharp!

The children are bringing home their recent Mock SATs Papers today.  Please take some time to discuss these with your child and guide them to complete additional tasks on SATs companion in order to develop their learning in areas of weakness.  We are addressing these gaps in class, but any extra practice they do at home will benefit them enormously.  Thank you for your support.

Lucy:  Today in History we learnt about the role that boats played in WW1.  It was interesting to hear about how people would survive if their boat was attacked.

Archer:  This week we walked to the 2 war memorials in the village and learnt about Captain Green.  We then did some pencil sketches of the memorials when we returned to school.

Natalie:  In PE today we practised our Charleston dance with both Year 6 classes together.  It was lots of fun and we had to think really carefully about our spacing, especially when changing places!
