Year 5 have been creating some fantastic expanded noun phrases and similes for their setting description of Mars and are developing their understanding of decimals and rounding in Maths. We've started our PIXL assessments this week in SPAG, spelling and reading; next week we will be doing our arithmetic and reasoning assessments. 

Both classes have explored the materials they might want to use in their collages and painted their backgrounds. On Monday, both classes will begin constructing their collages and whilst many have already brought in their supplies and know what they want to use, there are a few students who are yet to decide or have not brought in their materials. Can you please talk with them to ensure they have everything that they need/want for Monday as, otherwise, they'll need to make do with what leftover materials are available in school. 

Can we also request that all pupils come to school with whiteboard pens as many pupils are still without.
