Update on what we have been doing this week

Spellings:

                  come, some, stick, spell, blink

                   wink, they, spit, spoon, this

                    dig, bun, sock, pet, rat

English:

In English this week we have started to look at a new book. We have seen a picture of a child called Jim, there was something under his bed. We drew a page to predict what might happen next in the story and saw that there was a blue, cuddly monster under his bed. We have worked really hard to write some fantastic sentences. 

 

Maths:

In maths this week we have been adding. We have been looking at representation and how we can show adding in different ways for example using a ten frame, number sentences, part part whole models and number stories. We have been looking at hpw we can find the missing number in a number sentence. 

 

Other:

WE have been looking at different calculations (ET)

In Spanish we were looking at colours (KP)

We have been doing a little race in our walks to see which class can go the furthest. We won this week (AP)

In phonics we have been doing cl and cr (JW)

In English we have been writing what Jim might think (MB)

In phonics we have been looking at sh, ch, j, v (ABW)

We were looking at who can walk to their town that Mr B gave us (BQ)
