English:

this week in English we have been reading parts of Mr Underbed. We have been predicting what happens next in the story, we have been drawing Mr Underbed by looking at how Chris Riddle illusrated the character and we have been writing character descriptions. We have also been looking at alliteration. 

 

Maths:

We have been looking at subtraction this week by taking away, breaking apart and crossing out. We have been thinking about how we can use concrete materials to help us and how mathematical stories can be written for subtraction questions. 

 

Other:

In phonics wee have been looking at gl and gr (JW)

On Wednesday some of us went on a school trip to the museum. We looked at toys from the past (JC)

On Tuesday we had a big write. (KP)

The rest of us that were here looked at the comparison between rich childrens toys and poor childrens toys (MB)

When some of us went to the school trip we made some toys. We mad some spinners that had a picture of one thing and had a picture of another thing and when you rolled your hands together one thing would go into the other thing. Some of us made gingerbread climbers. (DDG)

In Spanish we have been learning our colours (AP)
