In the eyes of God, every child matters, every moment of every day

In the eyes of God, every child matters, every moment of every day

Friday 5.5.23

Talk homework: what is Wesak and how is it similar to other festivals that we might celebrate?

Our spellings this week are: climb, hour, sure, sugar, whole, hole, everybody.

This week in Heron class, a highlight has been today's coronation celebration. Cohen particularly enjoyed when everybody sang together outside. In English this week, we described a scene from the book 'Zeraffa Giraffa' by the River Nile, and Darcey enjoyed writing exciting descriptions. Another highlight was our art lesson, in which we did drawings of Victorian workhouses. Edie liked focusing on the details, using crosshatching. Our activity in PE was travelling across the benches in different ways, and the whole class rose to the challenge. This was Emily and Araoluwa's favourite activity. All the teachers were very proud of Heron class for their focus in their comprehension and arithmetic tasks this week, and Xyla seized the opportunity to show off her knowledge.
