In the eyes of God, every child matters, every moment of every day

In the eyes of God, every child matters, every moment of every day

Friday 17th March 2023

Spellings: wrong, write, wrap, wrote, wriggle

In maths, we have been practising subtraction and have began our unit of learning on measurement. We have learnt how to measure in centimetres using a ruler and even answered questions where the lengths of objects did not start at zero! In English, we have been writing our own diary entry describing a day in the life of living in our very own tower. We even created our own success criteria that included punctuation, conjunctions, contractions and fronted adverbials! We loved our outdoor learning in science yesterday where we drew a life cycle of a butterfly and used natural resources to represent each stage: egg--> caterpillar--> chrysalis --> butterfly. In RE, we have been learning about the Easter story and enjoyed a visit from GenR8 this morning. In PE, we have been creating and sharing routines in dance- we have some very talented dancers in Magpies! In reading we have been making predictions about Dave Pigeon’s plans to banish Mean Cat and have enjoyed applying our retrieval skills when reading The Boy Who Grew Dragons. Today in art we have applied our drawing skills to self-portraits and look forward to painting these next week.

Happy Friday!
