In the eyes of God, every child matters, every moment of every day

Friday 24th February

1.) Remember to read for 20 minutes each day and record your reading on Boom Reader.

2.) There are 4 tasks set for you on SATs Companion - please complete these by next Wednesday.

3.) Revise this week's spelling words ready for a quiz on Tuesday: easel, restaurant, pyjamas, veranda, ballet, blizzard, hoist, bungalow, gymkhana, origin.

Harrison:  In Science this week we have completed a practical investigation to find out which conditions were best to grow yeast.  We added yeast to different plastic bags; some of the bags contained warm water, others cold water, some had sugar, one had no sugar and one had salt.  We observed the bags over time and found out that the bag containing warm water and sugar enabled the yeast to grow best.

Susie: We have started a new book in English - 'Pig-Heart Boy'.  I enjoyed writing an informal note to Cam to advise him on whether he should get a pig-heart transplant or not.

Leo: In Maths we have been looking at measures.  I enjoyed learning how to convert from one unit to another.
