In the eyes of God, every child matters, every moment of every day

Friday 20th January

1.) Remember to read for 20 minutes each day and record your reading on Boom Reader.

2.) There are 4 tasks set for you on SATs Companion - please complete these by next Wednesday.

3.) Revise this week's spelling words ready for a quiz on Monday: smoulder, mould, thrown, blown, window, shallow, poultry, shoulder, known, soul.

Izzy:  This week in gymnastics we explored creating symmetrical shapes.  First we practised these on the mats then we tried to show symmetrical balances and ways of travelling using the apparatus.  We all enjoyed having the opportunity to go on the wall bars.

Harrison:  In Maths this week we have been looking at equivalent fractions, decimals and percentages.  At the end of the week, some of the problems we had to solve were very challenging, but I really enjoyed them.

Indira:  In English we have been studying some of Rudyard Kipling's poems.  We also read the story called 'The Cat Who Walked by Himself'.  We thought about the physical appearance, behaviour and relationships that cats have, and wrote a poem in pairs to reflect this.  Next week we will be performing our poems to the rest of the class.  I was really proud of my work.
