Talk homework: Tell your adults everything you know about ducks using your best speaking voices. Remember you need to speak loudly, clearly and slowly.

Spellings: sketch, kitchen, match, watch and stretch

Eden has really enjoyed learning about ducks in English this week. Her favourite fact is they can see well underwater. Ollie loved the fact finding too because he loves animals and nature. The children were amazing at performing their presentations that they prepared about ducks to the rest of the class using their speaking and teamwork skills. Emily loved performing in the play this week especially during the river scene when she performed actions to the words, well done Emily. Archer loved the duck dance in the play too (quack quack). George thought the end to the woodland animal dance was the best part. Ayda wanted to tell you she has liked practising her alphabet in her handwriting book today. We were making sure we know our alphabet and that we know both the capital letter and the lower case letter. We made sure the capital letter was bigger than the lower case letter. In maths, we have been learning all about 2D shapes and their properties. Then we investigated if the shape had a vertical line of symmetry. In history we have started to learn the history of the police force.

Another busy week in Heron class.

Have a great weekend
