Newt class has been up to a lot of activities and learning recently.

English - We have been learning about the story of a pebble from the early beginnings of the earth to present day. We have re-enacted scenes of pre-historic animals as well as using chalk to create ideas for our descriptive writing.

Maths - We have learnt our place value and nearly finished this topic. We have learnt how numbers up to 1000 are made by partitioning them into hundreds, tens and ones. We have taken this further by finding 1, 10 or 100 more/less than a number.

Science - Newt class have enjoyed learning about the different types of rocks. They particularly enjoyed using chocolate to show how the different rock types were formed. We have another experiment next week looking at the characteristics of different rocks.

PE - We have been learning how to throw and catch in both Rugby and Netball. We were learning to move and pass this week but making sure we don't move with the ball in Netbal!
