In the eyes of God, every child matters, every moment of every day

In the eyes of God, every child matters, every moment of every day

29th June 2018

Talk homework: Talk about your child's hopes and aspirations for their next school year.

In English, we have been practising using possessive apostrophes and apostrophes for contraction. Now we know which is which! This week, we have also been writing poetry about giraffes diving into a swimming pool! The aim of this, was to be able to recite our poems off by heart in front of the class!

We had a fabulous assembly this week, when a proper rock musician came in and let us try out his keyboard, drums, guitar and microphone.

In History, we have been painting great Egyptian scenes. This has been a complicated process! First, we mixed paints to create a tonal range. This range of colours was used to make a rich sunset scene. In the same way, we mixed colours suitable for pyramids and mixed in sand for added texture. To finish our scenes we practised drawing camels until we were brave enough to draw them on our picture. To finish we coloured them in black for effect. Mrs Tarpey thought  the final pictures were brilliant.

Next week, will be transition week and things will be both a little different and very exciting.

Have a great week!
