In the eyes of God, every child matters, every moment of every day

4th February 2022

Talk Homework- This half term we have been learning about how to keep your body fit and healthy. Discuss with your child what they remember.

Reading at least 3 times a week

Remember we have a parent maths session via Zoom on Monday at 4pm.

This week we learnt about the Lunar New Year. The children got to dress up in traditional Chinese 'party' clothes. We made dragons and danced to drum beat music. We explored lots of artefacts, used chop sticks and tried to make Chinese writing. We learnt that the children are born in the Year of The Monkey, or Rooster depending upon their age. This year was the Year of the Tiger.

In maths, we looked again at more than, fewer than and equal to.

In Phonics, we have taught air, ear, oi and ure.

In PSHE, we talked about the importance of sleep and rest.

In Literacy and music we enjoyed the stories of the Princess and The Pea and Sleeping Beauty, even watching the Tchaikovsky ballet.

In our Bounce Forward session, we talked about how amazing trees are and how we must do our best to not waste the resource and try to plant more.
