In the eyes of God, every child matters, every moment of every day

In the eyes of God, every child matters, every moment of every day

Friday 21st January 2022

Talk homework: Discuss with your adults where our water comes from? Can you use the vocabulary you learnt on Wednesday in our geography day: rainfall, river, reservoir, local.

Spellings: table, little, bottle, uncle, middle.

We have had another amazing week in Maple class. In English, we have been asking The Lonely Beast lots of questions about his journey to the big city to find a friend. In maths, we have continued learning how to divide by sharing, using a bar model. On Wednesday, we had a very interesting day learning our geography facts and skills. The day started with us making sure we understood the vocabulary that we would need to use throughout the day. Then we looked at some ariel photographs of Grafham water in 1950 and 2020 to see is we could see what had changed. We found local places on a map and on Google Earth, including Grafham and Buckden. Over the day, we found out lots of facts about where our water comes from and what happens at Grafham water. I think we are beginning to realise how lucky we are to have a clean water supply to keep us healthy. In RE we have continued to learn about the Islamic religion and have thought hard about what being compassionate means and how important it is. PE was very exciting this week when Mr Short taught the children how to dance like jellyfish. The children's dancing was beautiful, and I thoroughly enjoyed watching them all, you would have been very proud.

Have a fantastic
