Homework: Doodle Assignment, learn lines and lyrics for performance, Geography homework and spellings (certainly, definitely, probably, often, frequently, possibly, infrequently, occasionally, obviously, rarely)
Welcome back to school for our last term in Year 5. We've had an interesting start to our new term and introduction to our SDG 'Zero Hunger'. We've started to learn about the origins of World War II and will delve deeper into the impact on daily life in Britain. In Geography, we're looking at where food comes from. Their homework for Wednesday is to identify where fruit and veg gets imported from so they can calculate the food miles next week.
In English, we've started to get invested in our new book 'When the Sky Falls' and in PSHE we're looking at relationships. We've begun to re-explore empathy, respect and kindness between people before we look at our relationship with ourselves and online (safety). There is a lot to unpick and the concept of empathy and respect for others is a developing skill.
We've also begun rehearsing our Power of Words performance, which is scheduled for 2.30pm Thursday 21st May.
Enjoy your weekend.
