This week we have been very lucky to have been visited by 3 super heroes from our community. We had a police officer and PCSO then a Paralympian golfer then a firefighter. The children were delighted to learn more about their super powers and explore the equipment and ask questions. It has inspired the children to consider what they may like to do when they grow up. We also read a biography of Neil Armstrong and and story called 'Astro Girl' where we learnt about the career of being an astronaut. In maths, we have begun learning number bonds to 10 trying to have rapid recall of these. We use numicon, bead strings, abacus and matching halves of Easter Eggs to practically match quantities to make 10.

In Phonics, we have learnt the long oo sound- Zoom to the Moon and the tricky words 'they' and 'was'.

We learnt about the Super Hero artist, Kandinsky and this has inspired a treat we have made for all our special mothers. 

In RE, we have continued to learn 'Why do Christians make Easter Gardens' learning more about the Easter story.
