We are also revising prior spellings and common exception words, which will be tested each week. For the next three weeks, we'll be revising: pyramid, environment, apparent, accommodate, according, achieve, ancient, amateur, aggressive, accompany.
This week, pupils have developed their own character to embed in our book 'Floodlands' and we've been truly impressed by their creativity and focus. We've also begun exploring our geography and art, which is about the impact of plastic pollution on our oceans and the importance of water historically as well as today. In History, we discussed why the Anglo-Saxons settled near water in East Anglia and how we know this from the evidence left in their cemeteries. In Art, we debated what a sculpture is and the impact of public art when delivering a message or changing public behaviour – such as plastic pollution on coral reefs and sea turtles.
From next week, we will be introducing Homework Club on a Friday lunchtime at 1pm in Mrs Schmidt's room. This will be open to those children who wish to do their homework ahead of the weekend/ who may want teacher help completing it. It will also be for pupils who did not hand in their SPAG homework on Wednesday or complete their Doodle Assignment by Friday. Any queries, please feel free to get in touch.
Enjoy your weekend.
