Talk Homework: If you can have a look at some pictures of you when you were younger or when you were a baby. If you are allowed to can you bring in a picture to school for us to share in a science lesson next week. We will be exploring how we change as we get older.

Spellings: replied, fried, copied, relied, multiplied

This week has been busy as usual. In maths we have learned how to measure in both cm and m, and how to compare and order measurements. Today in maths we extended our knowledge of bar charts and learned how to draw and interpret charts with a scale in 2s. We wrote diary entries as Rapunzel explaining events what had happened and how those events had made us feel. In preparation, we had used thesauruses to find alternative words to sad, happy or angry to make our diary entries sound even more interesting. In science, we have been learning about the cycle of birth, growth, reproduction and death and thought about the life cycle of a chicken. On Thursday, we also looked closely at daffodil bulbs and then went around school and found the different stages of development of a daffodil. We took our sketch books and drew the development of a daffodil over time. On Wednesday, we had another topic day. In the morning we studied the continents and the oceans and then learned the route that The Titanic took on it's maiden journey. In the afternoon, we used percussion instruments to compose a piece of music to accompany a video of the sinking of The Titanic. In P.E. we have continued with our gymnastics and orienteering. In PSHE, we considered the importance of belonging to different communities and how this impacts our lives. In R.E. we continued to think about why Easter is important to Christians. We thought about why is can be so important to forgive people when they might do something wrong.

Hope you have a great weekend
