Talk Homework:

Can you remember the vocabulary we discussed in our Global Learning lesson? Some of the words are very new to us aren't they? See if you can remember what justice, respect, peace, institution and cooperation mean?

This week in English, we have been learning about Girl’s finger and how she turned the Gregg family into ducks. We also wrote a free verse poem imagining we were the ducks flying in the sky, we considered our actions, feelings and what we would be able to see from our birds-eye-view. She did this because she was angry that they were hunting animals. In RE, we drew a picture to represent the birth of Jesus and used charcoal to shade it. In PE, we learnt how to dodge and tag in our rugby lessons. In maths we have been deepening our understanding of subtraction by crossing tens and exchanging. Also, most of us beat our score in Big Maths Beat That so we got house points! In global learning, we have been learning about peace and justice. We have been introduced to key vocabulary such as peace, justice, crime, consequences, empathy, etc.- ask us what these words mean.

‘I really enjoyed reading Junkyard Jack- I felt really happy when he finally found Boadicea’- Connie

‘In maths, I enjoyed doing subtraction, especially two-digit numbers subtracting two-digit numbers with crossing tens’- Lily-Mae

Have a great weekend!
