28.06.19 Science Week

This week has been science week: (Libby) Our focus has been plastic and we've investigated lots of different types of plastic.

Sophia: I have learnt that plastic takes a very long time to disintegrate. Elysia said " I thought a apple core and a banana skin would decompose at the same rate but I found out that a banana skin decomposes faster. William learnt what a time line looks like.

Felix has enjoyed building inventions, we made different things out of plastic to recycle what we had. Libby made a bird feeder, Harvey made a turtle, Stanley made a rocket, Oliver made a watering can.

Faye enjoyed when we were experimenting to see which plastic bags were the strongest and which were the weakest. We ranked them after.

We also looked at the Story of a Plastic Bottle and made story mountains.

Alfie enjoyed the talk from a scientist he talked to us about bio plastic.

Elysia enjoyed the science assembly on Monday when Mr B launched a plastic bottle into the air!

Have a lovely weekend!
