In the eyes of God, every child matters, every moment of every day

In the eyes of God, every child matters, every moment of every day

Friday 8th March

Another busy week for all of us!

English: This was our last week reading 'One day on our blue planet...in the ocean.' We have been using everything that we have learnt to write our own 'Who am I?' poems. Each poem had to contain at least 3 clues about an animal that lives in the ocean and hopefully whoever reads the poem will be able to guess what the animal is.

Maths: We have been continuing to investigate numbers up to 50, including reminding ourselves of what one more and one less means. Also we have used 100 squares for the first time, looking for patterns and how to find numbers on there quickly.

We have been using this game to help with our number bonds to 10 and 20. It is helping with our speed!

Global Learning: Yesterday we walked to Buckden Towers to see how buildings have changed over the years. While we were there we looked around inside and outside at the grounds. Today we followed that up by looking at photos of how Buckden has changed.

Science: We have been using the language of carnivore, herbivore and omnivore to sort animals according to what they eat.
