In the eyes of God, every child matters, every moment of every day

Friday 21st June 2019

We had such an exciting day on Wednesday with our trip to Sacrewell Farm. The children were amazing, asking lots of interesting questions and engaging with the members of Staff who told us all about the animals and life on the farm. We are so proud of them.

Next week is SCIENCE WEEK. Please , please can you send in any plastic bags or plastic items that you would put in the recycling bin for our experiments.

 English

This week we have had great fun making our own booklets about Sacrewell following our visit.

The children thought about the following questions to help support their writing:

 Where does food come from?
 What does Sacrewell produce ?
 What was on the farm?
How does it get from the farm to the shop?

I What interesting facts did you learn?

  Maths

We have been learning to recognise and understand the different denominations of coins.

The children have then  used this knowledge to count in 2's 5's and 10's. Using the coins to match a given amount , comparing different amounts of coins.
Talking about how to add coins together and how it is the same as adding numbers.

  Other

Please can you make sure all jumpers and cardigans are labelled clearly .
