In the eyes of God, every child matters, every moment of every day

In the eyes of God, every child matters, every moment of every day

Friday 29th November

Keep practising those times tables!!!!!

Talk about your argument text - what do the people in your home think Joe Patience should do?

In Maths, we have been adding and subtracting fractions.  This relies on us knowing our times tables really well - some of us have had to practise these! We have continued doing our times tables every day after lunch from our 2s and 10s right up to our 7s and mixed - but you have to work your way up through all of the other times tables first, completing 40 sums in 2 minutes.

On Monday, we wrote up our information text about magistrates which we had been planning all last week. We were allowed to use faint colours and included all the facts we knew about magistrates and their job - even the Crown Court!

Now we are planning a balanced argument text to discuss whether Joe Patience (a character in our book) should go to war or not. There are four paragraphs: introduction, arguments for, arguments against and summary.

Some of us went to visit the Foodbank in Godmanchester.  We found out all about what the Foodbank does and were able to share this back at school.  We hope to plan some events to support the Foodbank later in the year.

We have really enjoyed continuing to dance the Lambeth Walk – OI!
