Friday 22nd November
Don't forget to practise practise practise your times tables! They are so important!
This week in English, we have been drawing and describing Alfie’s journey to the hospital and the appearance of the hospital and the gruesomeness inside.
We have also started to put together an information text about the magistrates that play an important role in law, crimes and punishments. This activity was following on from the visit we had from Mr Watts - who is a magistrate from our county. This project has taken us all week and we are still going to carry on with it next week. We are all very excited to show what we can do as this is going to be one of the many pieces of writing we are going to be assessed on.
In Maths this week, we have been learning about fractions and multiples and we’ve all been working very hard on our times tables.
On a faraway island, which we called ‘Carpet Island’, we investigated which birds were best adapted to eat the wooly worms that live there. We all had a chance to be a bird and we were able to see natural selection in action in our classroom!
That’s all for now. Have a good weekend!
