Friday 14th November

Talk Homework: chat about what you learnt when the magistrate came in to talk to us.  Remember you can also carry out some extra research for your information text next week!

Hello!

Today, we did indoor P.E and started to learn the Lambeth Walk which was a very popular dance and song during the time period between World War 1 and 2, and later on in the musical Me & My Girl.

On Thursday, we had a visit from a magistrate, Mr Watts.  Everyone in the whole class enjoyed listening and asking questions - in fact, lots of us would like to go home and find out more about law and justice.

In global learning, most of us brought in heirlooms and/or facts about WWI and WWII and also different conflicts around the world, e.g. Korea, Afghanistan & Iraq.  There were even some people’s families who were extremely close to the scene when Franz Ferdinand was shot at the start of WW1.

Also, today in English, we were creating “a recipe for our hero’’ – we thought about all the characteristics that a hero has and worked very hard to present our work with beautiful handwriting and accurate punctuation.

Have a great weekend!
