Friday 11th October
Talk Homework: Tell your adults at home all about the monster friend you have made for The Lonely Beast.
This week in English we have started to read a new book and we have been starting to wonder what it will be like. W looked closely at the front cover to look for clues of what the story would entail. We have also been practising to write cursive letters and we are up to t in the alphabet. In maths we have been counting in 2s, 5s and 10s and practising our number to 20. In Global Learning we have been learning about endangered and protected species. We have been looking at Skylarks, bats, badgers and Great Crested Newts. Today we enjoyed making a friend for the Lonely Beast, which we then drew and described. We have also finished our hedgehog information posters to explain how to protect and look after hedgehogs. In spelling we have learnt what the short vowel sounds are to help us understand our spelling rules.
Have a fantastic weekend
